History

Consistantly producing and presenting

Embracing the broadcast medium in April 2023 began airing its episodes every 2 weeks on Saturday at 2:00 PM from Manhattan Neighborhood Network. Composer's Voice also supports and airs other projects such as Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, Contemporary Quartets, and Contemporary Recordings. These broadcasts primarily post on various streaming platforms like YouTube.

Occaisionally Composer's Voice does live hybrid concerts or broadcasts with live studio audiences.

A new beginning with a new medium

Beginning in August 2021 Composer's Voice started airing on the first Saturday of every month. Empowering musicians in a time of need

In 2020, Composer's Voice embraced a new medium to aid and empower musicians who dedicated themselves to performing new music but were deeply impacted by the pandemic and the difficulties of live performances. Composer's Voice began broadcasting performances online.

Finding great venues and players

Starting in the summer of 2015, Composer's Voice resumed its original nomadic nature from its roots. Composer's Voice produced performances in such venerated venues such as Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall and Symphony Space in NYC, Eisenhower Hall Theatre in West Point, George Enescu Philharmonic Hall, Bucharest, Romania as well as other vhamber venues such as Gallery MC, Beethoven Pianos, and The Firehouse Space.

Finding a home, consistently presenting

the works of living composers.

In the summer of 2007, Composer's Voice resumed concert productions on a regular basis once a month at the same venue. Concerts transitioned to being approximately an hour in length without an intermission.

Composer's Voice begins!

And searches for it voice while it empowers others.

Composer's Voice began in May of 2001 at Baisley Powell Elebash Recital Hall The Graduate Center, The City University of New York. Concerts had a regular format with an intermission where the concert featured the works of a single composer and then several pieces from different composers whose works complimented and contrasted with the featured composer's works. The concert series had an irregular schedule and was nomadic performing in many different venues such as Christ St. Stevens church, A.R.T. South Oxford Space, The Living Room at the Gershwin Hotel, UNDER St. Marks, Medicine Show Theatre, and Collective: Unconscious as well as concerts outside NYC in The Brick Elephant, Valley Falls, New York; Birmingham, Alabama; Bucharest, Romania; Worpswede, Germany, and La Scala De San Telmo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
