CALL FOR DANCERS, CHOREOGRAPHERS & PERFORMERS – 60x60 Toronto 60x60 Toronto 60x60 Dance is seeking choreographers, dancers and performance artists of all styles and genres to participate in the upcoming 60x60 Dance event at the Music Gallery, Toronto on Saturday 8:00 PM Nov 20, 2010. "An express without any delay....It's this kind of madness that makes the cultural world go round."—The New York Times "60x60 Dance will have novelty energy and spectacle for sure." - Time Out London Eclectic by nature, 60x60 Dance offers an unmatched diversity of styles, making for a fast-speed, electrifying one-of-a-kind performance that never ceases to surprise. Dances will span all forms from tribal to ballet to hip-hop to ballroom and contemporary, while music includes neo-romantic, folk, tech-house, noise, rock and everything but the kitchen sink. 60x60 Project is a one-hour-long show made by sequencing 60 pre-recorded pieces by 60 different composers, each piece a minute in length or shorter. This event will present the 60x60 Crimson Mix. For 60x60 dance events, each selected performer/group will be invited to create a one-minute performance to one of the 60 compositions. The 60 performances will be joined to create a 1-hour show, co-ordinated by Viv Moore, and co-produced by Tova Kardonne in association with founder Rob Voisey and Vox Novus. Saturday Nov 20, 2010. The Music Gallery, 197, John Street (Osgoode Subway) If selected, all groups and individuals will be required to be available for a rehearsal before the day of the event, and for the day of the event for an informational meeting, walk-through, dress rehearsal and performance. Pieces will be assigned to choreographers by September 17th, 2010. Rehearsal is to be conducted on an individual level, with two full group rehearsals, one Sunday November 14th, the other taking place on the day of show, Saturday November 20th, 2010 at the Music Gallery.
