William Price

Zina von Bozzay is a composer, performer, and music researcher particularly interested in small ensembles, vocal music, folklore studies, and the integration of diverse musical influences. Her works have been performed around the United States, as well as in England, Hungary, and Brazil. She attended the San Francisco School of the Arts, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (B.M. Honors 2004), and the graduate music program at Mills College (M.A. 2009). She has conducted extended ethnomusicological research projects in Argentina and Hungary, and has also studied the music of the Balkans, Japan, Central America, and Cuba. She has worked for KQED Radio and KITKA Women’s Vocal Ensemble, and taught musicianship at Mills College. She is an active performer in classical, new music, and folk music ensembles.
