Composer’s Voice proudly presents a special episode featuring flutist, composer, and improviser Lisa Bost-Sandberg performing a set of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame (FMOF), MNN on November 8 at 2:00 PM EDT.

This performance originally recorded at Electronic Music Midwest (EMM) 2025 in Kansas City, Kansas. The performance, which premiered earlier this year at EMM.

Lisa Bost-Sandberg, described by Robert Dick as “…one of the important composer-performers of her generation…[her] interpretations are infused with deep musicality, questing intelligence and a joyous spirit,” brings her expertise in electronics, extended techniques, and contemporary performance to this unique presentation.

Mike McFerron, founder and co-director of Electronic Music Midwest and professor of music at Lewis University, guided the festival collaboration. “It was important that this FMOF set be presented as a continuous experience,” McFerron notes. “Lisa brought exceptional artistry and energy, making this performance stand out from typical Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame presentations.”

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, curated by Robert Voisey, is a spinoff of his celebrated 60x60 project, presenting fifteen one-minute works written specifically for a featured performer. While most FMOF presentations include brief pauses between each work, this special EMM performance was delivered in a continuous, single block, creating a seamless, immersive listening experience akin to a 60x60 performance.

Random Access Music and Tokyo to New York bring innovation, movement, and sound together in RAM Dances, a two-night event at the Martha Graham Studio Theater on November 14 and 15, 2025.

This program celebrates the exchange between music and dance, featuring acclaimed dancer and choreographer Henning Rübsam in dynamic new collaborations with the composers and performers of RAM.

Rübsam and composer Beata Moon, who have collaborated since 1992, present the world premiere of “ASSEMBLY,” in which Rübsam will be joined onstage by longtime dance partner Violetta Klimczewska. Hélène Taddei Lawson and Rübsam choreograph and dance the world premiere of “STARDUST” to music by Masatora Goya.

The evening brings together a critically acclaimed lineup of musicians:

Lish Lindsey (flutes), Thomas Piercy (clarinet and hichiriki), Sabina Torosjan (violin), Molly Aronson (cello), and Marina Iwao (piano). ​​

​ The concert presents three world premieres commissioned by Random Access Music and Thomas Piercy—new works by Beata Moon, Frances White, and Andrea Casarrubios—together with recent compositions by Masatora Goya and Roger Stubblefield.

As part of the “Fifteen Minutes of Fame” project, audiences will also hear the premieres of 15 one-minute duos for hichiriki and low flutes.

Compposers included in this set of 15 are: Nantenaina Andriamorasata, Vahan Luder Artinian, David Bohn, Ross James Carey, Monica Chew, Philip Czapłowski, Douglas DaSilva, Paolo Geminiani, Simon Hutchinson, Sakiko Kosaka, Matt A. Mason, Gene Pritsker, Allen Schulz, Jane Wang, and Dalen Wuest.

These miniature works, performed by Thomas Piercy (hichiriki) and Lish Lindsey (flutes), explore the delicate interplay between East and West—melding the sounds of the ancient Japanese instrument with the sound of the modern Western instrument.

Renowned for her introspective and sensitive performances, pianist Eunmi Ko presents an eclectic program of exciting and evocative contemporary music featuring works written especially for her by composers from around the world. The program includes Le rêve caché by Hwaen Chu’qi, Night Music by John Liberatore, Suite by David Liptak, Little Suite by Daniel Pesca, Sa-ak by Jared Redmond, TATTOO by Tyler Kline, Persistence of Melancholy by Robert Voisey, and Jasmine Blossom by faculty composer Stephen Yip.

This recital explores solo piano works that illuminate Ko’s deep artistic collaborations and friendships with composers—music that reflects both the intimacy of those relationships and her distinctive pianism, marked by nuance, emotional depth, and fearless creativity.
