Call for Works - 2026 Electronic Music Midwest Festival
Call for SubmissionsLewis University and Kansas City Kansas Community College are pleased to announce an international call for submissions for the 24th Annual Electronic Music Midwest Festival, featuring guest performer Mary Hubbell, to be held March 13-14, 2026 at Lewis University.Submit here: https://www.newmusicengine.org/categories/2026-Electronic-Music-Midwest-Festival/index.html Each concert will feature an 8.1.4 immersive speaker diffusion system, with a lower/main ring of 8 channels (with front and rear centers) and 4 height channels. Acclaimed soprano, Mary Hubbell will be the featured performer and composers are encouraged to submit works for her consideration. EMM is only able to consider works less than 20 minutes in length. Please note that works longer than 12 minutes are rarely programmed.
EMM welcomes and programs all types of EA music, but we are especially interested in programming works that fall within one of the following categories: Submission Deadline: November 14, 2025
Guest PerformerMary Hubbell, described in the New York Times as "a soprano with a sweetly focused tone," excels in a wide range of styles. Composers are invited to visit Ms. Hubbell's website to view previous performances.

Registration InformationThere is no fee to submit work for consideration. Those whose works are selected through peer-review for this festival will be required to submit a $75 registration fee at the festival and must agree to attend the festival.Only one registration fee is collected for works by more than one composer or collaborations. Upon arrival at EMM, composers will check-in with the registration desk to pay the registration fee and collect a festival information packet. EMM will provide a receipt at that time for those who need documentation for reimbursement. Regrettably, EMM is unable to offer travel stipends or honorariums to festival participants at this time; however, we do have a limited number of registration waivers available to composers who are able to demonstrate financial hardship. Call for Works and Installation ProposalsA hub for new music and collaboration, the Contemporary Art Music Project (CAMP) invites submissions of acoustic and electroacoustic works, as well as installation proposals, for its fifth international new music festival, CAMPGround26, taking place March 5–7, 2026, in Tampa, FL. The three-day festival will showcase 20–25 compositions and world premieres, embracing all styles, performance media, and aesthetics.In collaboration with the Iranian Female Composers Association (IFCA), CAMPGround26 will feature new monodramas by IFCA composers Mojan Alaiyeh, Negar Soleymanifar, and Parastoo Shafiei. The festival’s final concert will unveil CAMP’s special house installation project, A Little House Music, which challenges conventional notions of music and expands the boundaries of imagination. This call is open to all composers, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, or any other form of identity. Composers from historically underrepresented or marginalized groups are particularly encouraged to submit their work. CAMP offers free housing during the festival for selected student composers currently enrolled in high school, undergraduate, or graduate programs. Please read the guidelines below for information on available performers and instruments, as well as additional details regarding installation proposals. FOR EUNMI – A Portrait in PianoRenowned pianist Eunmi Ko, hailed as “exceedingly interesting” (New York Concert Review) and “kaleidoscopic” (San Francisco Classical Voice), brings her artistry and adventurous spirit to Texas State University for an evening of new works written especially for her. For Eunmi celebrates Ko’s deep collaborations with living composers whose music reflects her introspective and sensitive pianism. https://www.eunmiko.com/projects/for-eunmi The program features evocative works by Hwaen Chu’qi, John Liberatore, David Liptak, Daniel Pesca, Jared Redmond, Tyler Kline, and Robert Voisey, including several commissions and world premieres.
