Vox Novus Presents Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame Featuring Lisa Bost-Sandberg at the 53rd Annual National Flute Association ConventionVox Novus is proud to announce the featured composers selected for Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with flutist and composer Lisa Bost-Sandberg, premiering at the National Flute Association’s 53rd Annual Convention. This exciting presentation of 15 one-minute miniatures for flute showcases the artistry and innovation of both the composers and the performer, highlighting the expressive range of the flute in contemporary music.

Known for her adventurous programming and expressive depth, Lisa Bost-Sandberg brings this curated collection of compact contemporary works to life with commanding artistry. Robert Dick describes her as “one of the important composer-performers of her generation… [her] interpretations are infused with deep musicality, questing intelligence, and a joyous spirit.” This performance is part of the Flutist-Composer Edition, a vibrant concert that also features: Tilmann Dehnhard and Melissa Keeling premiering a duet for glissando headjoint Nicole Esposito, Angela Jones-Reus, and Ebonee Thomas presenting MAYKA Etudes by Jovana Damnjanović And, of course, Lisa Bost-Sandberg performing Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame Join us in celebrating bold new voices in contemporary flute music and the remarkable creativity that continues to shape the future of the instrument.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring Lisa Bost-Sandberg and Electronics at the EMM Festival
Watch Lisa perform the 15 her on YouTube: Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame features flutist and composer Lisa Bost-Sandberg, with one-minute works for flute and electronics. These exciting miniatures will premiere live at Electronic Music Midwest (EMM) 2025. Hailed by Robert Dick as “one of the important composer-performers of her generation,” Lisa Bost-Sandberg is a dynamic flutist/composer/improviser known for her deeply musical interpretations and innovative artistry.

About the Festival:Electronic Music Midwest (EMM) is an annual festival dedicated to showcasing a wide range of electroacoustic music, with a strong emphasis on high-quality performance and creative expression. Hosted at Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC), EMM presents approximately nine hour-long concerts each autumn, creating a vibrant space for artists to perform, connect, and collaborate.Founded in 2000 and officially established in 2002, EMM is the result of a consortium between KCKCC, Lewis University, and the University of Missouri–Kansas City. It has grown into a key destination for contemporary electronic and electroacoustic music.
